Towards a New Paradigm for Building Science (Building Physics)

This paper presents a building construction approach that is based on forty years of experience and focus multi-disciplinary synergies. After 1980, the migration science-based design was accelerated by “Integrated Design Process (IDP)”. As result, science became significant force in reducing effects climate change. The component associated with heating, cooling, ventilation labeled “Environmental Quality Management” (EQM) or EQM-retro for interior applications will be discussed. critical aspects are: (1) A two-stage process new retro modifies financing patterns. In stage one, object to develop best possible performance within an investment limit. two, cost minimized; (2) Building Automatic Control Systems (BACS) are important control thermal mass contributions while achieving adaptable indoor as well integration HVAC system structure; (3) achieved use monitoring application evaluation (MAPE); (4) Introduction BACS MAPE during improves subsystems energy optimization. Examples showing increaseased occupant-controlled comfort, efficiency flexibility demand presented paper.
